Cooking is my love language, if you will. I always thought my love language was music — playing the piano, listening to some Italian opera or the sound track from “Under the Tuscan Sun”. Oh, how the music inspires me! Then I starting cooking while absorbing the music. This was inspirational to me. I may not be Italian, but I can cook like one. Fortunately, my Mexican heritage also comes through. Who knew!? And there’s something very inviting about a beautifully set table. Of course paper plates have their value, too! But special occasions or holidays always get the full treatment.
Now that I’m not on Facebook any longer, I don’t really have a place to “post” the recipes i used to. And I love to share when asked. So I’ll start again, posting what’s requested, and what I think people will enjoy.
My home truly is my castle. When I’m not cooking, i find respite in my backyard. This little slice of heaven is where I can float, or just sit with my feet up. It renews my spirit and nurtures my soul. It’s very peaceful - until the pool is full of people and the outdoor speakers are blaring. Of course, then it’s a party at the castle!
